Well let me tell you beautiful people.
Today 2,348 of you amazing backers helped make this project the 3rd LARGEST PLAYING CARD PROJECT on Kickstarter. EVER. I'm so grateful to have been part of such a momentous project with such awesome people!
But now that the campaign is finished the back end work has begun! I wanted to help update you guys by answering a few of your last minute questions as well as provide an estimated roll out of the next action steps to finish the project and keep it on track for delivery!
I use Backerkit as the backend pledge manager. In the next upcoming days, Kickstarter will begin processing payments. It will take 14 business days before they release the funds so we really can't do anything until then...
I have been informed by Backerkit that I need to wait for the Kickstarter to fully process before sending out the survey, BUT, once that happens, I'll send out an update to everyone with their Backerkit surveys. In the meantime, I will try to be diligent and put up the Backerkit so that we're ready to go. The survey is where you'll put in your shipping address and specify any special add-on items that you guys want!
If you're looking to complete your Apothecary collection you can do that with Backerkit. It will have the decks from the previous campaign to add on if you weren't able to do so in the pledge on Kickstarter. There are unfortunately no black label decks available to upgrade for these older decks for those who have asked. There will however be a few leftover white label decks from last campaign on an inventory counter in the survey that I will be putting up for those that were interested.
Now that we're funded, I'm working to get a head start to get some items in production to try to meet an admittedly ambitious shipping goal of April. But most items including the gilded decks, t-shirts, and coins won't start production until all the surveys come in with info on the quantity and sizing we need to produce. I will keep you guys updated as production check points begin to hit.
I ship almost all domestic orders personally. Not only are your limited edition decks hand-wrapped, but, believe it or not, so are all your bubble wrapped and industrial-strength packaging boxes, too! I like keeping it personal by hand-packing each package. For international shipping, I will be using a fulfillment center. They specialize in playing cards and will be able to handle international customs as well so there are no worries there.
So I was just made aware that life is WAY easier if you follow Kickstarter creators. You don't need to sign up for anything! Just click the above link and follow Seasons on Kickstarter! That simple! You'll be updated the next time I launch a super awesome project the SECOND that I do, so you won't ever miss out on any limited editions or any other fun!
It also makes my life easier, too! I try to be a super awesome social media guy, but honestly, I'm just an introverted designer that likes to create things and sometimes I forget to do that marketing stuff. By having you guys follow me it makes it that much easier to ensure that I can still share my art with the people who care :)
